XP Adventure: Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry Series
In this game, you play as Cameron, a high schooler who gets transported into a digital world in the midst of a sexual identity crisis. Along with your best friend, Max, you will traverse the digital landscape, fight bosses, and generally wreak havoc (but in a fun and whimsical way).
This is my first web game, so I experimented with a few different styles of gameplay—it's part text adventure/interactive fiction, with 3 boss fights that can be broadly categorized as point-and-click, fighting, and platforming action. There are also some mild content warnings, all contained within the game.
Finally, this was a game produced for Ace Jam 2025, hosted by Metaparadox. I had a blast participating in this jam, and I hope you enjoy playing this game as much as I enjoyed making it!

This is unhinged in the best Tumblr way, but I'm stuck at the second boss. It feels like the timing is way too hard to get right, and/or the lifebar of the boss is too big. I can't progress with the story, which is a shame.
Hey Ether! Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated. I've just updated the game with the option to fight bosses on "Easy Mode," which will lower their health from the start. Let me know if you still have trouble with the bosses—I can always adjust the balance further.
